Biography for 

Laura E. Shallenberger

Laura Shallenberger is a wife, Mom of 2 adult children,Nana to 5 adorable grandchildren and Daughter of The King. Laura is an international speaker, having many unique opportunities to minister  to women around the world. She was a former National President for Women of the Church of God (now Christian Women Connection), serving in this position for 9 years. Laura’s passion is Women’s ministry. She considers it a high privilege to serve women globally, by encouraging them to embrace who God designed them to be and challenging them to become women of wholeness in all God has for them. 

Laura graduated from Penn State School of Technology with a degree in Allied Health Science as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She has worked in this field for over 41 years; where she continues to enjoy her vocation, using it as a conduit for  encouraging personal health, well-being and  sharing the love of Christ to her patients. She has worked in the same practice for 30 plus years. She is currently on a sabbatical.

Laura is married to her best friend and love of her life, Bob; where she has served along side him in full-time ministry as a Pastor’s wife for over 41 years. She considers it a high calling and privilege to minister in partnership with him,  to provide a wealth of sermon material for him and comic relief for the congregations where ever God has called them. They have served the North Apollo Church of God congregation and surrounding community for 31+ years. God continues to bless their ministry in Christ and their marriage. It has been an amazing adventure!

Laura attempts to live everyday by the motto; Choose Joy. Life is difficult, but we can choose to allow God to help us embrace Joy in the midst of all life’s ups and downs. Everyday God gives us is sacred. Her scriptural call to this lifestyle choice is from Nehemiah 8:10b (NLT): “And Nehemiah continued, …This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!”
