2022 Word and Verse of the Year

 From FB 1/6/2022:

My 2022 Word of the Year is HOPE. This year I have decided to add an Old Testament Verse to my yearly tradition of Verse(s) of the Year.  My O.T. Verse is Isaiah 43:19. I know the verse does not use the word “hope” in the text. However, God promising to do something new in my life, in His Church, in my family, in our community, in our country, in our world gives me great HOPE!! My New Testament verse is Romans 15:13. God is my source of hope in Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. I trust Him with all that I am and all that I hold dear. I know His joy and peace! My prayer for 2022 is that I will overflow with hope, so much so, that those in my circle of influence will trust and believe in the God of my hope and be filled with the joy and peace of Christ!!

REQUEST: Last year I asked you all to share your favorite verse and I would use it as my weekly verse one week out of the year and pray for you specifically that week. THIS YEAR…would you please find a verse that has the word ”hope” in it OR a verse that  gives you great hope and share it with me here. I will use that verse as my weekly verse one week this year and pray for you during that week. Thank You in advance for being a part of my spiritual journey in 2022!πŸ’–

I just have to give God praise here briefly (I could go on and on about what He has already done in my life so far in 2022). I start praying about my yearly word and verse(s) in December. God lead me to both of those right before Christmas. That in itself is a praise. But WAIT…THERE’S MORE…πŸ˜‰.  (2.)For the last several years (around 10 years +/-), I ask for a new Bible for Christmas from Bob.  The one I requested back in Sept./Oct. was the NLT Dayspring Hope and Encouragement Bible. When you preordered it you got a free Hope and Encouragement Devotional Journal. I requested this because it has journaling space on each page and was the NLT (which Bob preaches from). I had no idea what my Word nor Verse(s) for 2022 would be. 3) The next affirmation of my word and verse was on January 1st. The Verse of the day that I get texted to me was Romans 15:13. (4.) In the introduction of my 2022 daily devotional that I was reading on 1/1/22 the author uses my O.T. Verse and elaborated on Isaiah 43:18-19.  There have been other affirmations this past week and then today River preached on Isaiah 42-44 and specifically referenced and spoke on Chapter 43:18-19.  I just tell you all of that to say God is SO Good!! There are NO coincidences in God’s economy.  When we seek Him, read His Word and surrender to Him He always guides us, reveals Himself to us and shows His abundant love to us in so many ways. Do we not see it?…πŸ’–
